Warzone 2.0 Will Take Up to 115 GB of Disk Space on Xbox Consoles
Call of Duty Games are known for its creative multiplayer maps and massive game sizes. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the latest installment in the franchise, which has become the Call of Duty game launch of all time and made over $800 Million in only three days of its release, as confirmed by Activision.
And if we talk about the game’s system requirements, especially its file size, developer Infinity Ward recommends the players to at least have 125 GB of free disk space to install the base game.
Yes, 125 GB of free space for the base game. Similarly, Warzone 2.0, scheduled to launch on November 16th, will reportedly take over 115 GB of disk space on your Xbox consoles. As revealed by the data miner, @ALumia_Italia Warzone 2.0 will occupy 115.62 GB of disk space on your Xbox consoles.

It should be noted that the Twitter user only specified the size for Xbox consoles, and the final file size on other platforms can vary, PC will be somewhat around the same size, but if we talk about PlayStation, then there is not anything confirmed yet about the game’s final size on PlayStation.
But if we take the PlayStation 5’s disk space optimization into consideration. Warzone 2.0 will take less than 115 GB as Sony reportedly uses a specialized data compression technology that can shrink game file sizes by as much as 60%.
However, PlayStation 5 only has 667.2GB free for games, as system files take up the remaining 157.8 GB on the 800 GB version of the console. Still, excellent space optimization comes into play here and saves the day.
Well, if you are planning to keep both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 installed on your console, then it is time to clean up your disk storage; if the reported file size of Warzone 2.0 is anywhere near 115 GB, then it will take around 200 GB of space on your console to keep both games installed as at the time of writing this article, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is approximately 74 GB across all platforms. Although, the game’s file size might increase further after some post-launch patches and updates.
