This error appears when you start a multiplayer game and it appears along the “The Call of Duty: WWII service is not available at this time” message. Follow the methods we have prepared below in order to get rid of the error message!

What Causes Call of Duty WW2 Error Code 103284?

The first cause for the problem is simply unknown but, fortunately, there is a simple way of resolving it. Simply hard reset the console you are using, start the game, and open the Nazi zombies multiplayer. Exit and you should be back on track.

Another cause for the problem may rely in the fact that certain ports used by the game may be blocked. Unblocking them is a lengthy process but it’s worth it when you consider the fact that you’ll be able to play the game!

Solution 1: Hard Reset Your Consoles and Start Nazi Zombies

This is a somewhat weird workaround but it has worked for console players who were starting to lose it regarding the error. Hard resetting your console should be followed up by trying to start the zombies mode instead of any other mode. After exiting zombies, you should be able to join any game mode from now on, without the Call of Duty WW2 error code 103284.

Xbox One

  1. Press and hold the power button at the front-facing section of the Xbox One until it shuts down completely.
  2. Unplug the power plug from the back of the console and press and hold the power button on the Xbox a couple of times to make sure there is no remaining power and this will actually clean the cache and drain the Xbox from any current.

  1. Let the console stay unplugged for at least a few minutes before you plug the power cord back into the PS4 and turn it on the way you normally do.

After you have successfully hard reset your console, you should start the game as you normally do and wait for it to load completely. Press the “Join the fight” button from the home menu and choose NAZI ZOMBIES from the menu. Wait for the mode to load and choose XBOX LIVE from the next menu. You should see the Connecting to Xbox Live message. Wait for it to load and exit afterwards. You shouldn’t see the Call of Duty WW2 error code 103284 after you try to start the game.

Solution 2: Open Several Ports for the Game on Your Console

The method below will definitely be a lengthy one but it has worked for several users and it’s definitely quite a useful fix when console games start to experience connection problems. Games need ports open on the router they are connected but that is not always the case. That is why you’ll have to open them manually.

The process consists of assigning your console a static IP address and opening up ports for it. Let’s start with the first part!

PlayStation 4 Users

  1. In the PlayStation 4 home screen which appears after you boot it select Settings >> Network >> View Connection Status.
PS4 View Connection Status

  1. Locate the IP address information in the window which opens up and make sure you write it down somewhere since you will need it to enable port forwarding. Make sure you also write down the MAC address of your console.

Xbox One Users

  1. Navigate to the home screen of your console and tap the menu button on the controller of your Xbox one. Go to Settings >> Network >> Advanced Settings.

  1. In the IP settings section you should see the IP address listed down. Write down this adress somewhere for safekeeping.
  2. You should see Wired MAC address or Wireless MAC address listed under IP settings as well. Write down the address for the connection.

Now we will need to assign static IP addresses to the console you own by following the steps below:

  1. Open your preferred Web browser, type your Default Gateway number (IP address) into the address bar, and tap Enter.
  2. Enter your username and password to access your router’s settings. The default username and password should be listed in your router’s documentation, on a sticker on the side of your router, or on the Port Forward website if no changes have been made.

  1. First of all, find the Enable Manual Assignment setting and click the radio button next to Yes. The name of the option may appear different on some routers, depending on the manufacturer.
  2. Locate the window which allows you to type in the MAC address and the IP address of your choice so type in the addresses which you have gathered in the previous steps.

  1. After you have done that, click on the Add option and you have now added your console’s IP address to your router.
  2. Find the Port Forwarding section while still logged into your router’s interface. Each router will provide different steps for this so make sure you browse a bit.

  1. Enter the port you want to open under Internal and External, or enter a range of ports to open under Start and End. Specially, for Call of Duty WWII, there are several ports and ranges you will need to open in your router and they are presented below, depending on the console:

Call of Duty WWII – Playstation 4

TCP: 80, 443, 3074, 3478-3480

UDP: 3074, 3478-3479, 27016

Call of Duty WWII – Xbox One

TCP: 53, 80, 3074

UDP: 53, 88, 500, 3074, 3076, 3544, 4500, 27016
  1. The TCP and UDP abbreviations are the options you should select under the Type of Service Type option. Since you can only select one of the options (or both), repeat these steps until you have covered all of the ranges presented above.
  2. Enter the static IP address you created for you console in the steps above and make sure you click on the Enable option if it is available.
  3. Click on the Save of Apply button and make sure you restart both your router and your console in order to fully apply these changes.
