Xiaomi Announces the POCO X3 NFC with SD 732G, 120Hz Display & a Budget Price Tag

While Xiaomi always manages to surprise its users, their mid-range devices have truly revolutionised the Asian and European markets. The fact that the American market functions differently and that their preferences are different, Xiaomi has tried to push the market. Anyway, despite the fact that the company also makes excellent flagships, they have recently come up with the Poco X3 NFC, a part of the Pocophone lineup.

The company came out with the Pocophone F1 back in the day and it was an instant hit. Xiaomi actually redefined the flagship killer concept for the users. Now, they have added a couple of phones to the lineup. The phone of our focus is the Pocophone X3 NFC.

Design

The phone follows a modern aesthetic with a hole-punch display in the front. On the back, there is a huge camera module. Although it isn’t something new, the four-camera setup on the back is structured differently. It comes in two different colours, much according to Xiaomi accents. All-in-all, the phone gives a modern look. Nothing out of the ordinary though.

Internals

Now, as per Pocophone fashion, this is where the phone shines. The phone comes with a Snapdragon 732G silicone. This puts it in the gaming phone category with that extra performance boost. This processor also allows the device to have support for 4G only though. Perhaps a 765G would have been a much better one. Though, for the price point, this would work.

The four-camera setup offers a diverse range of shooting options

On the back, we see a four-camera setup. We have a 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens and two cameras which seem like an extra. These are the 2MP depth and macro sensors. Perhaps this would deliver similar camera performance to other Xiaomi mid-range devices. Although Xiaomi does offer 4K support in RAW. It would be downsampled though, that is for sure.

Xiaomi offers a huge FHD+ 120Hz display which is a big plus for this device.

Then we come to the screen. The phone, for this price point, offers a full 120Hz FHD+ display that measures at a 6.67-inches. This is something amazing, considering how it is a mid-range device. Secondly, the Pocophone X3 NFC also has a 240Hz touch sampling support. The huge 5130 mAh battery would perhaps be enough to power it through. To charge that battery? A 33W fast charger to juice it up quick!

Pricing

This is where the phone really shines. There are two storage variants for the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC. There is a 64GB variant and a 128GB one. Both these models come with a standard 6GB of RAM, this should be enough for daily usage unless you’re a power user. The former would come in at 229 Euros while the latter, 269 Euros. Translated in USD, this would be about $270 and $320 respectively.
