Upcoming OnePlus 8T Might feature a New Camera Setup and Snapdragon 865+ Processor

Oneplus is keeping its tradition of releasing two flagships every year. This time around, it is special because the company has already released its first mid-range device, and an entry-level device is allegedly in the works too. So, the Oneplus 8T and Oneplus 8T Pro Maclaren edition (?) maybe the fourth series of devices from Oneplus this year. The ‘T’ variants offer incremental improvements and often feature faster processors.

According to an exclusive report from Androidcentral, the Oneplus 8T will feature a 120Hz AMOLED display, which brings it in line with the Oneplus 8 Pro released earlier this year. We have seen a similar instance with the OnePlus 7T and Oneplus 7 last year, where the device released in February featured a lower refresh rate. Oneplus 8T will feature a quad-camera system similar to the one present in the Oneplus 8. Complete specifications include a 48MP primary lens, 16MP wide-angle lens, 5MP Macro, and 2MP portrait lens. However, a new and improved imaging sensor would be added to increase the overall quality of the images.

The device will run Oxygen 11 based on Android 11 out of the box, making it the first device to be based on the new Android 11. The general specifications include the Snapdragon 865+ processor with 5G connectivity, 8GB RAM, and 128GB UFS 3.0 storage. According to the renders leaked earlier this week, there are no major changes when it comes to the design of the device. The design will be very similar to the Oneplus 8 with a hole-punch selfie camera and the familiar Glass-Aluminum sandwich body.

Oneplus is planning to introduce the device at the end of this month, but the reveal in the first week of October is also expected. Lastly, the price of the device is expected to be at most equal to the Oneplus 8 Pro; however, Oneplus often reveals the ‘T’ versions at a lower price.
