NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER Lands 16% Faster Than RTX 4070 in Leaked OpenCL Benchmarks

The RTX 4070 Super has been tested in Geekbench, revealing a massive performance improvement over the base RTX 4070. As per results, the RTX 4070 Super offers a decent 16% performance boost, coming very close to the RTX 4070 Ti.

RTX 4070 Super Leaked OpenCL Benchmarks

It is no surprise that NVIDIA is set to unveil the RTX 40 Super series in just a few days. The series includes the RTX 4080 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and the RTX 4070 Super. For more information regarding the pricing and specifications, check out our previous coverage here.

The test bench features AMD’s Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor, paired with the ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard. The CPU boosted as high as 5.6GHz and the setup included 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory.

Of course, context matters, and as shown below, this little budget GPU is shy of the RX 7900 XTX by just a few thousand points. In comparison against the RTX 4070, the Super variant leads by 16%. The same story repeats in CUDA, which is limited to NVIDIA GPUs.

RTX 4070 Super OpenCL Relative Performance

Now it should be apparent that synthetic testing is not the be all and end all of performance benchmarks. At the bottom of the spectrum, the RTX 4070 is present with 168268 points. This nets the RTX 4070 Super a performance and value lead of 16%.

The icing on the cake is the pricing since the RTX 4070 Super costs the same as the RTX 4070 at $599. We expect to hear more from NVIDIA this Monday. Stay tuned at Appuals for our coverage on the event.
