NVIDIA RTX 40 Super Launch Dates Confirmed by Leaker

ITHome has revealed the launch dates of NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 40 Super series. It appears that the announcement will take place on the same day. However, all 3 GPUs will launch within 1 week of the other.

RTX 40 Super Launch Schedule Leaked

Unsurprisingly, Jensen Huang plans to unveil the RTX 40 refresh at the nearing CES 2024. More specifically, NVIDIA will host a ‘Special Address‘ where enthusiasts expect the long-awaited reveal. However, recent information regarding the actual launch date has thrust these GPUs into the spotlight.

The news from ITHome alleges that the RTX 4070 Super will lead the pack, arriving on the 17th of January. The RTX 4070 Ti Super follows on January 24th, after which we will see the RTX 4080 Super on the 31st of January. The announcement itself is scheduled for January 8th next month.

  • RTX 40 Reveal: 8th January, 2024
  • RTX 4070 Super Launch: 17th January, 2024
  • RTX 4070 Ti Super Launch: 24th January, 2024
  • RTX 4080 Super Launch: 31st January, 2024

Rumored Specifications

Fear not, for several leakers already have the specifications leaked beforehand. Intriguingly, there is also a mention of the expected MSRPs by Moore’s Law Is Dead, giving us plenty more insight into the effect of these GPUs on the market.

The RTX 4080 Super is quite similar to the RTX 4080, but comes in much cheaper at just $999. Moving on, the awkwardly named RTX 4070 Ti Super, packs more memory, cores and a wider memory bus than its base equivalent.

Lastly, we have the RTX 4070 Super, a possible mid-range champion, which has been beefed up significantly by NVIDIA. We’re looking at 20% more cores at the same price, which should drive the base RTX 4070 into the $500-$549 territory if sales go accordingly.

All RTX 40 Super models will use the new 12VHPWR power connector, like their forerunners. AIBs must already be hard at work prepping their best cooling solutions, though we have heard nothing of a Founders Edition from NVIDIA. Are you excited about the RTX 40 Super series?
