OnePlus 8 And 8 Pro Final Specifications, Hardware and Features Leak Out, Here’s What To Expect From The Upcoming Flagship Android Smartphones

The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are undoubtedly two of the most eagerly anticipated premium Android smartphones. In the past, we have covered several important aspects of the premium mobile phones that have popularized the term ‘Flagship Killer’ before quietly sliding into the very same category. Now a reliable and popular tipster has offered what appears to be the final specifications, hardware and features of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro Android smartphones.

Popular tech Blogger and tipster, Ishan Agarwal, has just posted two images that appear to contain detailed specifications about the hardware of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones. The list of specifications is consistent with the previously reported information, including a large rear camera array, big 6.5-inch+ AMOLED displays with an in-display fingerprint reader, latest UFS 3.0 storage and a blazing fast Super Warp charger.

OnePlus 8 Specifications, Features:

According to the image provided, the OnePlus 8 will sport a 6.55” FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 90Hz. The premium Android smartphone will pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, which is said to be 5G capable. The OnePlus 8 will be available in multiple storage and RAM variants. The device will be sold with 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage options. The superfast Snapdragon 865 will work with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM. Simply put, buyers may get a choice between 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants of the OnePlus 8 Android smartphone.

The OnePlus 8 will have a triple rear camera array. The rear camera setup will consist of a 48MP primary sensor, coupled with 16MP ultra-wide sensor as well as a 2MP sensor for the depth-sensing Bokeh effect. The front camera on the OnePlus 8 will have a large 16MP sensor. A large 4,300mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack will power the OnePlus 8. The battery can be charged with a powerful 30W Warp Charger, which OnePlus is expected to include in the retail packaging.

The OnePlus 8 Android smartphone will be available in two color options, Black and Green, and a Glow version. Strangely, there’s no IPX rating to indicate who well the OnePlus will withstand dust and water.

OnePlus 8 Pro Specifications, Features:

The OnePlus 8 Pro is obviously the elder brother of the OnePlus 8. There are a few subtle but highly noticeable differences between the two OnePlus Android smartphones. The OnePlus 8 Pro will reportedly sport a larger, 6.78” Super AMOLED Display with QHD+ display resolution and gaming-capable superfast refresh rate of 120Hz. Interestingly, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G chipset paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM, and 128GB or 256 GB UFS 3.0 internal storage options.

The OnePlus 8 Pro will have a Quad Camera array instead of the Triple Camera setup on the OnePlus 8. Interestingly, OnePlus has embedded a substantially superior camera setup within the premium variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro. There are reportedly two 48MP sensors which are coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. This setup will reportedly offer superior zoom capabilities as they will have the capability of taking in a lot of visual information. The OnePlus 8 Pro has the same 16MP front-facing camera like that in OnePlus 8.

In addition to the larger display, the OnePlus 8 Pro will also have a slightly larger battery. The OnePlus 8 Pro reportedly gets a 4,510mAh Li-ion Battery. Interestingly, in addition to the 30W Warp Charger, the OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to get an equally powerful 30W Wireless Charging capability. Additionally, the smartphone is also reportedly supporting 3W Reverse Wireless Charging. This aspect hints at the inclusion of true wireless OnePlus earphones with a charging case that will support wireless charging.

The OnePlus 8 Pro Android smartphone will be available in two color options, Black And Green, and a Blue version. Unlike The OnePlus 8, the OnePlus 8 Pro does get an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
