Google Adds App Ratings, Downloads and App Size to Google Play Search Results

Convenience is the way to go when it comes to Google. If it were to them, given a lack of technological constraints, they’d make things happen with our brain signals. We saw convenience being favored in the recent article on the updates Google Now or Snapshot, as it is known, now. According to an article on Android Police, the company has made changes to its Google Play Store.

The Updated Google Play Store

Before, whenever you wanted to install an app, you had to click the tab open to see the download size, the developer details, and the average ratings. This is quite helpful when you want to check out the functionality, authenticity of an app. But, that isn’t maximizing the utility of time, is it? The idea is to let users just download an app in a couple of clicks of the clock.

To fix this issue, the company has made very little change to the Google Play Store, though, it is quite essential. The change is that users will now be able to see three main things in the search results. These include the App Rating, the number of times it has to be Downloaded and finally the App size. All of these statistics provide an insight into the decision to download an app, they have added more utility to the whole process.

A lot of us are now out and about. With the ease of flexible data plans, a lot of people may find themselves downloading apps on their data. Now, of course, you do not want to use that entire data on app downloads, so one always checks the App size. With this new update, you’d. be able to see that right off the bat.

Now, Google is rolling this update out and it is still a bit finicky. For example, some users only see app ratings and downloads while others see app sizes as well. Perhaps it is triggered by the location of the user.
